CRITERIA FOR INCLUSION
All submissions will be reviewed by a member of the Military Police Memorial Page Board of Directors. Submissions that cannot be verified by a single board member will be reviewed by a majority of the full board. All decisions made by the board are final unless the board finds sufficient reason to re-review individual submissions at a later date. If at any time an officer listed on the MPMP is found to not meet the criteria, the officer will be removed from the MPMP.
Accepted Career Field Categories:
U.S. Air Force
U.S. Army
U.S. Coast Guard
U.S. Marine Corps
U.S. Navy
Qualifying Causes of Death
Line of Duty Causes: Any member of the military that served in any of the accepted career field categories that is killed while in the performance of their duties.
Example Scenarios:
Accidental Causes: Any member of the military that served in any of the accepted career field categories that dies in an accidental way while in the performance of their duties.
Natural Causes: Any member of the military that served in any of the accepted career field categories that dies from natural causes while in the performance of their duties.
Health Related/Previous Causes: Any member of the military that served in any of the accepted career field categories that dies as a result of an injury or illness sustained while in the performance of their duties.
Example Scenario:
Off-Duty Causes: Any member of the military that served in any of the accepted career field categories that is killed while acting in an official capacity off-duty for law enforcement purposes.

- Specialty Code 71SX, 31PX, 7S, 3POX1, 3POX1A, 3POX1B
U.S. Army
- MOS 31A, 31B, 31D, 31E, 31K, 311A
U.S. Coast Guard
- Rated Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist, and Investigators
U.S. Marine Corps
- MOS 5803, 5804, 5805, 5809, 5811, 5812, 5813, 5814, 5815, 5819, 5821, 5822, 5831, 5832
U.S. Navy
- Rated Master-At-Arms
- Officers with designator 649X
- Warrant Officers with designator 749X
- Personnel who are killed while conducting Augmented Security Forces Duties
Qualifying Causes of Death

- Contraction of an infectious disease
- Succumbing to an injury sustained while in the performance of their duties months or years previously
Off-Duty Causes: Any member of the military that served in any of the accepted career field categories that is killed while acting in an official capacity off-duty for law enforcement purposes.
